Good morning ladies,
Last night I took an opportunity to ride with the YT TRI Support Group. We biked 45 minutes then they (yes I could not have run this long) ran 25 minutes. The women who are training for this triathlon are just like you and I, normal women. These women don’t have perfect body’s with the right balance of skeletal muscle and body fat, these women don’t LOVE to run or bike or swim especially…these are real, normal women who have decided to push their body to new levels. These are women who swim with a face mask and snorkel at times, ride “mom” bikes and run with a hitch in their hip. Some of them say they really don’t like running at all, some of the women have cried getting out of the lake because they just couldn’t “get it”, some of them think that 10 mph on a bike is pretty fast.
Suck or not they are out there training, many for the 1st time, to finish a triathlon. These women have guts!!!

Third Triathlon Discipline: Run
In a triathlon you have what are called Disciplines…Swim, Bike, Run in that order. This is no small feat, this takes courage just to say I’m going to try a TRI.
I think of the saying or rhyme that goes like…sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what girls are made of. I would like to add that these girls, who are just like you and I, are also made of guts and courage and strength! Be inspired to show off what you are made of today!
