Good morning ladies,
I’m unsure which is a more challenging morning, the morning before the race or the morning of it. This morning you’re thinking, “Can’t it just be race day already” and tomorrow morning you will probably be thinking, “OMG, I can’t believe it’s here”. Either day you’ll be filled with nervous anticipation and possibly some anxiety, it’s all normal!
Over the course of the past 12 weeks Your Turn has done their best to support 4 groups of women to achieve their goal of running either the Gazelle Girl ½ Marathon or the Gazelle Girl 5K. The four of us supporters, Sara, Dawn, Anna and me have done everything we could do to support the runners to this place, the morning before, and now it’s up to them. They have to be ready to step up to the plate and believe that their body and mind are ready for this. They have to have the belief in self that they have done what their body needed to do to accomplish this goal!
So what’s left for YT to do for them? Be a CHEERLEADER of course!!!
It’s up to us, those of us NOT running in the race to make sure they feel one last SURGE of LOVE AND SUPPORT during the race itself and after. We do that by showing up to the race, holding a sign, SCREAMING and JUMPING! We do that by “LIKING” the pictures on FB and the Blog. We do that by giving as many “COMMENTS” of WOO HOO and HIP HIP HOORAY and AWESOME JOB as our fingers will allow!!!
Sooo…let’s get this cheer party started!!!
Getting Your Sweat On in nervousness still counts!!!
