Exciting Week Ahead!

Good morning ladies,

What a GREAT morning it is!!!  Not only do I, personally, have such an exciting week it is also exciting for Your Turn.  We begin all our session this week and I love each of them.  I have been cooking and reading up a storm for the Small Steps to Healthy Eating beginning tonight at the George Washington Carver Center; I anticipate a fun group.  Dawn is working on Small Steps to Gluten Free/Reduced; she has quite a lineup of Inspirators, speakers and a field trip for that one.  YT Couch 2 5K begins tomorrow night in Kalamazoo with a group of women who are already such great inspirations to me but if you are a part of that group they will be to you as well.

Our reason for beginning sessions instead of 1 time demonstration is because we want YOU to connect to others striving for the same goal.  1 time demonstrations, like yesterday Teen and Parent Healthy Cooking;

is a great way to meet each other but connections take time, intentional effort and regular contact with one another.  The goal of Your Turn is to connect you to others striving for a similar goal and this is a way we feel we can accomplish that.  If you haven’t signed up for either of the 3 sessions please feel free to do so, each class has a few openings as we hoped to fill them with 10 each.  Shoot an email to either Dawn or myself and we would be happy to get you on the list.

Also the Monday email will be long and full of the week’s Happenings.  This comes from a request that was made that day to day doesn’t allow for much planning; as I wrote everything I knew of out I was in awe of all that is going on.  Thank you, each of you, who submitted what YOUR happenings are and your willingness to have others join in with you.

  • Ø 6:30pm – Your Turn Small Steps to Gluten Free Cooking Session @ Can Do Kitchen in Downtown Kalamazoo – If you have not already signed up, please notify Dawn to ensure there is enough space and materials.  This will be a comprehensive class discussion the benefits of reducing gluten in your diet.  This class will offer guidance from women who have changed their way of eating and the benefits it has had for them.  It will also offer hands on cooking time and more knowledge and resources than you could imagine.

St. Joseph Co.

Monday

  • Ø 6:30pm – Your Turn Small Steps to Healthy Eating @ George Washington Carver Center in Three Rivers – If you have not already signed up please let Melodie know as to ensure we have the amount of materials for you.  This class is going to be a comprehensive approach to getting healthier meals to the table for your family.  We will have guidance from nutritional professionals, hands on cooking time and many healthy samplings.  We are looking to fill this class with 10 participants and currently we need 4 more to accomplish that.  We will love for YOU to be one of the women in this class striving for better health and wellness.
  • Ø 6:45pm – Runners of Constantine in Constantine – If you would like to join in on this group of runners please let me know as I will find out more information as to where they run and how far.

Tuesday

  • Ø 9:30am – Zumba @ George Washington Carver Center – Attendance has dropped off for this class, if anyone is interested in attending please let me know if not we will cancel this class beginning next week.
